Streetscape:
found images
Eileen Blyth Project Proposal:
Through the process of discovery I will capture “found
images” collected from Main Street. There are interesting elements
that we pass by everyday without looking up or down to notice. There are
all sorts of metal, concrete, wood, and ceramic objects. These visuals
have their own unique colors, textures and stories. Some images
tell their story. Others leave it to our imagination. Still others have
a recorded history.
Participation
I have set up this web site to record my process and to incourage community
interaction. I will add a gallery and blog to collect your images and
thoughts or memories. A section of the Main Street installation will be
reserved for submitted images.
Excersise
The location of my images can be provided for discovery upon request
or students can be encouraged to find the location of the
images with a family member or classmates.
Classroom
Ask your students to collect their own images.
Send me the photograph or post it to the site blog. During the Exhibition
period I will add students images to my installation.
Through this project I become more intrigued
with what is, was and can be for our Main Street. |
